Her thesis addressed modelling web user behaviour by using Petri Nets. Her thesis won her the HEC Foundation Thesis Prize in 2006 and 4th prize from the EDAMBA (European Doctoral Programmes Association in Management and Business Administration).
A specialist in New Information and Communications Technologies, Christine Balagué focuses more particularly on electronic marketing and social networks. She is also the author of books about social networks and the development of the Internet in France:

Christine Balagué is also Vice-president of the French Digital Council and chairs the commission services Cap Digital, competitiveness and digital transformation cluster, which aims to promote the emergence of collaborative R&D projects in France between large companies, SMEs, start-ups and research laboratories.
