Zhenzhen Zhao

Zhenzhen Zhao, researcher associate

Zhenzhen Zhao is an associate professor of marketing at Institut Supérieur de Commerce (ISC-Paris). She worked at the Institut Mines-Télécom as a digital marketing and user experience researcher, incorporating socio-scientific sensitivities for understanding the human experience into design practice. Her courses include digital marketing, digital communication and social media, user experience design, creativity and web design. Her current research interests include crowd innovation, branded mobile applications, user-centered design etc.

Zhenzhen has been working on several European research projects since 2005, including “DiYSE-Do it Yourself Smart Experience”, “SERVERY-Service Platform for Innovative Communication Environment ” and “E2R II”. She has participated in drafting a number of project proposals, and conducted collaborative work at the EU and between EU-Asia, including Fraunhofer FOKUS, Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT), Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) and Tsinghua university.

She has been publishing extensively in the areas of marketing and management, computing and human-computer interaction, serving a scientific committee member for several international conferences and workshops, delivering invited talks, guiding and supervising master students in their thesis. During the past number of years, she has been working with different types of start-ups to conceptualise and to design digital products.

Zhenzhen received her joint PhD degree in Communications and Information Systems from the Télécom SudParis and the Université Pierre et Marie Curie (UPMC), France, and her M.S. in Communications and Information Systems from the Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT), China.
