The issue of building experience and creating value by the consumer is a major marketing challenge. This question becomes important in an environment where there is a growth of connected objects. More than ever, understanding the behavior of the user in such a connected environment is necessary. The project “Connected Kitchen and User Experience”, sponsored by Seb, the world leader in small domestic equipment, This project aims to study the experience and value co-created in environment of connected kitchen. Led by Christine Balagué (University Professor, director of the Smart Objects and Social Networks Chair) and Lamya Benamar (research engineer), this project aims to explain the different cognitive, affective and behavioral mechanisms, and emmergence of new behaviors.

In partnership with the research team Evident of Telecom Sud Paris, the connected apartment of 89 m2 equipped with sensors, the project benefits from an environment that allows an in-depth investigation. This laboratory provides conditions close to the real interactions between users and objects. This connected appartment is developed within ETOILE, inaugurated in 2016.The issue of building experience and creating value by the consumer is a major marketing challenge. More than ever, understanding the behavior of the user in such a communicating environment is necessary.

The connected appartement is in the research center ETOILE which is inaugurated in 2016.
